The first time Hello Echo played music together was an impromptu jam at a restaurant in Baja, Mexico in the summer of 2005. This occurred not more than 48 hours and a few hundred miles after some of the members met for the first time in Los Angeles.

Two years after this random occurrence, guitarist and singer Sean Aylward contacted Mike Sarno and Mike Silva to make noise and learn some of the songs he had written and was looking to perform. He was met with a mixed response: the guys were extremely enthusiastic, but admittedly had no real experience playing drums or bass guitar. The idea was not to put together a finely tuned, pristine rock outfit, but to create the most fun-loving, adventurous band possible.

After 6 months of drunken rehearsals, then 6 more months of playing live around the Los Angeles area, Hello Echo embarked on a national tour in the summer of 2008 and completed a studio EP. The band continues to progress as they perform live in California & the Northeast and are now preparing to record their debut LP this winter.

Compared to the sounds of Built to Spill, Modest Mouse, Neil Young, and The Ventures, Hello Echo weaves together beautiful melodies, unique guitar playing, solid rhythms and interesting lyrics; creating something truly fun to experience.
